If you have the opportunity to party, you should use it! As manifold as the festivals, almost as unlimited are the possibilities of composition. Today, however, it seems to be widespread to engage in Christian ceremonies. Just think of weddings and baptisms.
But what do all those do who do not belong to this religion and incorporate much older values and customs into their lives? How do these people want to celebrate and organise their festivals? Exactly these questions occupied us. And so, meanwhile 12 years ago, the idea was born to organise weddings for those according to the old pagan tradition.
Full of idealism and verve we arranged our first marriages. Our ideals and our zest for action are unbroken until today. In everything else, we have gained experience, evolved and experienced many unforgettable moments.
At first, the marriages were still rather “small – but fine”, without large superstructures. There were simple but lovingly arranged ceremonial places in the middle of nature. It was celebrated in the forest or on an island that could only be reached with a rowing boat. Over time, we discovered true master builders and artists among us. Our repertoire of bodywork and decoration grew considerably. The Germanic-pagan world tree – our Irminsul – has been accompanying us for about 10 years now.
The fewest of us would have dreamed at the time that we would have such a success. We are not afraid of the weather and the distance. Every single marriage is always something special for us. No matter if it is raining, snowing, storming or 38° in the shade, we are there! In the meantime we have married couples from Denmark, Germany, Austria, Switzerland as far away as Italy.
In addition, we are pleased that the life and annual celebrations are getting more and more popular.
eheleite.com would like to say thank you again today to all bridal couples we have guided into matrimony. You have made it possible for us to celebrate an impressive anniversary in September this year – our 100th wedding!
We are proud of what we have achieved and really look forward to the future bridal couples, baptizands, youth initiation and birthday children.
