At noon, we meet near Ravensburg. On the western edge of the Schussental, Beatrice and Marco want to celebrate a very special 17th wedding anniversary.
In the medieval knight’s lodging Hotel Arthus, our bridal couple welcomes their magnificently dressed guests with a little refreshment. Meanwhile, our herb women (Eva, Inga and Wiebke) chat about all sorts of useful things from the herbary. The guests have a lot of fun and there is large interest in the quack remedies for beauty and for love.
The ceremony begins in the beautiful and spacious city park complex of Aulendorf under touching piping sounds of the music group Pipes and Drums. Our bridal couple listens to the old myths and traditions together with their family and friends. Time seems to stand still as Beatrice and Marco renew their marriage oath. As a symbol of eternal bondage, a handfasting takes place according to ancient pagan custom. All those present agree loudly and cheer for the bridal couple.
Afterwards bridal couple and guests strengthen themselves with a hearty knight meal. When the music sounds, it only takes a few minutes until legs and hips are shaken. Our medieval dances bring fun and cheerfulness. The skill of the Fire Fox is marveled at, too, and so the evening progresses happily and entertainingly.
But as always, even the best day is coming to an end. Unfortunately, a strong “rain kiss” prevents our nightly torch dance, which was scheduled for the conclusion of the wedding day. Instead, we put another hot stuff on the dance floor.
Dear Beatrice, dear Marco, we are happy to have your 17th wedding anniversary designed for you. It was a lot, lot of fun to celebrate with you. We wish you all the best for the future and the blessings of the old gods!
