At this weekend we are guests in the north of Germany. Gut Horndorf in the district of Lüneburg offers an appealing ambience for the pagan marriage of our bridal couple Jeannine and Andreas. Since lately, the two are married in a civil ceremony. With today’s wedding they want to close the marriage according to pagan tradition and ask for the blessing of the old gods.
The 55 guests are welcomed with a cool refreshment and looking forward to the next few hours in Germanically restored Gut Horndorf.
On a handsome steed, the bride is escorted to the ceremony by her friend Saskia, where she is expected by Andreas. The priests proclaim and seal the physical and spiritual companionship. Cleaned of all the legacies of the past, Jeannine and Andreas enter the path to a common life.
In the festival barn, the bridal couple asks the wedding party for coffee and cake. Some harp sounds surround the afternoon. With cheerfulness, archery and dance the day goes by in flight.
Dear Jeannine and dear Andreas, we wish you all the best for your future and good luck. May your life proceed according to your ideas and wishes. The goodwill of our gods may always be at your side!
