Of course, we do not miss out on celebrating the highlight of the year. And so all of us and a few guests come to Finsterwalde (Brandenburg State) on Sunday, 21 of June to inflame the solstice fire.
According to the old tradition, we stand by the flickering fire on this clear night of new moon. We ask the old gods to attend our ceremony. At the magical flames everyone is listening to an ancient myth – the legend of the eternal solar cycle, from the sun god Baldur and his blind brother Höd. As old as this story may be, it is still always moving when it is being told. Our wonderful evening within nature will end later with happy tunes and full of anticipation for the coming half of the year.
Dear friends and readers of eheleite.com, celebrate this magical day with us! Let us honour nature and our gods – may they always watch over us!
See you soon!
